Ryan C. Sorrells
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Ryan has devoted his professional career to helping injury victims achieve the justice they deserve. Having obtained jury verdicts in over 100 personal injury trials, Ryan knows firsthand how to help clients prevail against insurance companies in the courtroom.
Ryan is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization—a certification of special competence earned by less than one percent of the attorneys in the state of Texas.
Ryan has been selected by his peers as a “Super Lawyers Texas Rising Star” (Thomson Reuters) each year from 2015-2020. Ryan has also been recognized as a “Top 40 Under 40” trial attorney by The National Trial Lawyers. He is also a five-year member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.
Prior to joining Roberts & Roberts, Ryan practiced personal injury trial law throughout Texas, helping countless people navigate the litigation process. Before becoming an attorney, Ryan operated a small residential real estate appraisal company.
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
Ryan graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School and then completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Advertising. He Received his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Texas Wesleyan Law School (now Texas A&M Law School), where he served as an Articles Editor on the Law Review. Ryan was also awarded the Equal Justice Award at graduation for completing more pro bono hours than anyone else in his graduating class.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND AND INTERESTS
Ryan, a native Texan, was born in Dallas, Texas, where he lived for his entire life until moving to Bullard. He and his wife are the proud parents of two young daughters. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, barbequing, and fishing.
