"I enjoy leveling the playing field between everyday people and powerful corporations; making a difference." - Randy Roberts, Texas Super Lawyer.
NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PRACTICE
Roberts & Roberts has been recognized in Time and Newsweek , as well as on CNN and NBC's Dateline, for its role in bringing about the recall of unsafe products. Its groundbreaking case against Firestone is featured in a college textbook on corporate crime.
NO "SECRET" DEALS
Roberts & Roberts fights secret settlements or deals which allow information about unsafe products to go unreported. A few years ago, Randy Roberts and his firm were recognized in the national media for uncovering and sharing with other consumer lawyers the documents that helped lead to the recall of the Firestone Wilderness and ATX lines of tires. According to Randy, "Consumer lawyers who fail to share safety information with the public are no better than the corporations trying to hide that information."
It's not unusual for Randy Roberts to fly to places like Chicago, Cheyenne, or Tucson to fight confidentiality orders, which are used by corporations to keep information about unsafe products from the public. In a recent case, the firm knew that it was a common tactic for a major manufacturer to use settlement negotiations as leverage for keeping highly incriminating documents secret. Before appearing for the settlement conference, Roberts & Roberts shared the documents with consumer lawyers around the country to ensure that the information would never be kept secret. Randy calls this his "poison pill" defense against coerced secrecy agreements.
The firm specializes in representing people injured by unsafe practices and products as well as by unfair insurance practices. Randy Roberts and other members of his law firm are Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Roberts & Roberts originally consisted of two brothers, Randy Roberts and Bruce Roberts, and their sister, Karen Roberts. Roberts & Roberts holds the highest rating ("A/V") from the Martindale-Hubble Attorney Rating Service and is included in its Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
