Most of the personal injury lawyers at Roberts & Roberts are board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Board certification is bestowed on attorneys who have substantial experience in a specific legal field and who have demonstrated competence in that area of the law. Certification is a recognition of excellence and professional accomplishment. Only 1.5% of the lawyers in Texas are Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law.
Only board certified lawyers are allowed by the State Bar of Texas to publicly represent themselves as specialists in an area of law. Board certification sets these attorneys apart as a law practitioner with the highest commitment to their area of legal specialization.
Certification is voluntary and can only be awarded to attorneys who have been in practice at least five years, with a minimum of three years of experience in their area of specialization. It also requires ongoing involvement in the area of specialization, peer references, and continuing education.
